Upgrade your Nikon ZR with these accessories

Cages

The standard SmallRig cage for the Nikon ZR features multiple ¼"-20 threaded holes and locating holes, as well as 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes for monitor mounts and top handles, plus cold shoe mounts for mics and lights. The cage is also available as a kit that includes a top handle and an extended kit that also comes with a rotating side handle. For those who like SmallRig’s HawkLock system for fast attachment, there is also a version of the cage and kit with HawkLock built in.

Grips and handles

If you want extra side grip on your Nikon ZR, SmallRig offers a couple of options – one with a handle wrapped in silicone and one with a wooden handle. The Nikon MC-N10 remote grip is fully compatible with the ZR and puts all the essential controls where you need them. Top handles include one specifically made to accommodate the TASCAM CA-XLR2d-N microphone adapter for pro sound.

Keep going

On long shoots, you can keep going with the SmallRig V-mount battery plate kit, which provides power to both the camera and accessories. And while the ZR is designed for extremely long recording times without overheating, you can also get a SmallRig cooling fan for filming in extreme heat conditions.

Get pro sound

The Nikon ZR already has amazing audio specs, and you can make the most of them with the ME-D10 digital shotgun mic. Fully compatible with 32-bit float audio, the mic is cable- and battery-free, and includes a digital hot shoe, wind muff, built-in shock mount and a large REC lamp. You can switch between Pure mode (for audio with a wide dynamic range) to Focus mode (perfect for picking up voices in noisy environments and there are three directional patterns – front, rear and omnidirectional.
